Grief

What is Grief?

Grief is an emotional response to the death of a loved one or the loss of a situation, relationship, or any aspect of life that has stopped or been terminated (e.g., job). There are many stages of grief and they don’t necessarily happen in order.

How Support Works

You can mourn someone who is currently terminally ill and still alive. You can mourn the loss of a long-term relationship or friendship. Either way, experiencing grief is extremely difficult and sometimes disrupts our day-to-day functioning. Grief can affect you emotionally, mentally, spiritually, and physically. It’s important to recognize the distress you are suffering due to the loss in your life and speak to someone who can help.

At Path2Growth, we are trained and certified in grief counseling and support. Using evidence-based and somatic-healing techniques, we can help guide you as you mourn and grieve the loss of a loved one or situation or relationship. We provide grief therapy both through individual and group therapy. Group therapy sessions will be offered twice a year: fall and spring. Don’t suffer alone. We can help.

“Living with grief is so difficult, I am so glad I received counseling support services from Path2Growth that helped my family and I move forward. We use our tools we learned almost every day as a family.”
